Jogscotland Campbeltown are organising the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile and they want you to take part! Do the Mile in a picturesque venue on the Campbeltown Loch offering stunning views to Davaar Island before kicking-back and enjoying all the entertainment on offer. Make sure you get your place in The Wee Toon's Big Mile now!

At 12.30 am straight after the Mile event there will be an AQUAZUMBATHON so please sign up for that too ....if you enter for both events you get the Aquazumba for half price so make this a family' keep fit ' day out while raising money for Sports Relief. The energetic and wonderfully community spirited Jogscotland Campbeltown are organising the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Campbeltown this year and are calling for everyone to come along and take part! The run starts at 11am outside Aqualibrium, Campbeltown on Sunday 25th March and you will have the choice of distances: 1 mile, 3 miles or 6 miles.

Then follow this up with a cool Aquazumbathon. Aquazumba will be half price if you are running too.

Prices for taking part in the run are £6 per adult, £3 per child or £15 for the family. Wee Toon Sports will be kindly selling Sport Relief Socks, Clappers and Deeley Boppers.

Come along and join in a fabulous family day in a picturesque venue while raising money which will change lives!

Come on folks support the efforts of our local Jog Scotland club and help raise money for Sports Relief!

Come on folks lets get the entries upto 100 by next weekend for our Sport Relief Mile, 3 mile of 6 mile event. Sport Relief merchandise on sale in Wee Toon Sports with all proceeds going to charity.
Come with the children and do the mile or challenge yourself to the longer distances.
Afterwards have a snack in the Aqualibrium Bistro then carry on the day out with family Aquazumba, the floating floor will be raised to allow all ages to participate. Entry forms for water events are in Wee Toon Sports, for Sport Relief runs enter online at www.sportrelief.com

Thanks for the push KF, entries are now moving along nicely. If you find the distance you want to do is full please dont let this put you off, just enter another distance - I can sort it out on the day

I had to participate how many would want to run each different distance, so although some distance numbers are almost full we still have space, 43 entered to date

Hi Ags great to see the community totally getting behind charity again Entries can be taken online until Saturday night, so please enter this way to ensure a place.

Sports Relief goodies are available in Wee Toon Sports - socks, deely boppers and clappers, a few water bottles all monies from these will go to charity so thanks to Tracy, Linda and the staff for doing this for us.

We will be having a raffle on the day with Sport Relief T-shirts and other prizes up for grabs, so bring a wee penny in your pocket for that

A massive well done to the people of The Wee Toon for turning out today to support charity. Just under 100 runners set off this morning - brilliant smiles from every last one of them as they crossed the finishing line from the youngest which were in their prams to the oldest who will remain under his alias of Mr T!! He knows who he is

Large amounts of money being raised for charity I know one person has over £400 on their sponsor sheet

So to all of you who turned out, bought raffles, bought merchandise etc - thank you, it wouldnt have been the same without you.

An enormous thank you to Tesco Manager Mr David Kay for providing bananas and cereal bars for the goody bags

A massive thank you to our Citizen of the Year - Mrs Mairi Kennedy (from the Shoe Shop) for setting all the runners off

A huge thank you to Wee Toon Sports for selling the merchandise for us.

To the staff at Aqualibrium for their support and for allowing us to use the car park

And of course thanks to all the Jogscotland girls for doing the marshalling and putting up with me being bossy as usual:D
