Admission by donation, to fundraise for Campbeltown Music Centre.
A night out, even with children, fantastic! And raising funds for music tuition for local children to boot, sounds like an idea to me.Campbeltown Music Centre offer music tuition to children in South Kintyre as well as providing musical instruments for children to learn on. They have built on the success of Tarbert Music Centre and now offer traditional and contemporary music tuition in Campbeltown, their tutors include:
Fiddle: Archie McAllister
Accordion: Fraser McGlynn
Whistle: Lorne McDougall
Drums: Ryan McGlynn
Acoustic/electric guitar and bass: Jamie McLafferty
The Centre aims to minimise the cost of lessons to ensure that children can access and learn. The development of the Music Centre in Campbeltown has been supported by lottery, Argyll and Islands Leader and community councils in the area, but the fundraising ceilidh will help with ongoing running costs and assist with the sustainability of the music tuition sessions for the longer term future.
