There is a Sustainable Communities conference on in Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute on the 13th and 14th of November. The venue is the Lochgilphead High School Joint Campus. The event is being run by Big Green Tarbert and is supported by the NFU Scotland, South Kintyre Development Trust, ALIenergy, Community Energy Scotland, WJM, SDC and the CO-OP.
It's a two day conference that looks at community resilience and generating income through renewable energy. It is aimed at community groups, farmers and land owners, it is free to attend (one day or two) and lunch is provided on both days but places are limited and booking is essential.
It is rare that a conference such as this happens in Argyll so please make the most of it.
