Well it looks like a lovely day for the show.

Lots happening for entertainment in the main ring including footnotes dancers, tug o war (teams of 6, enter on the day) young farmers obstacle race, and from what I hear some very imagninative fancy dress horses and riders. the young farmers also have a bucking bronco so have a try and see how long you can stay on.

Some new stands this year for your entertainment and interest

We also have the Bastows from Clachan with their pigs on display with loads of information about them at the stand.

Unfortunately due to the recent wet weather the sheep shearers cant manage to come as they need to work today to make use of the good day to try to catch up.

The Cattle and sheep numbers are up on the year and you will see some of the best stock anywhere in the country.

Hope to see you there.

The tug o war was a great success although being stuck in my caravan didn't get to see much of it or anything else for that matter. :(
A big thanks to competitors, stewards and of course the public for making the day go so well.

The weather was excellent and it was great to see so many folk come to the show, we would like to hear any feedback that anyone has (good or not so good) to see if we need to change anything for next year.

was car parking ok?, entrances signposted enough?, was ther enough for kids/adults to do?, was there enough entertainment in the main ring?.

Its always good to hear views from outwith the farming circle to help us make the show even better.

I've probably opened up a big can of worms by asking for comments but anyway tell us what you think.

Hi John A.
Took my fella and wee one to the show for the first time this year and we all enjoyed ourselves. Not coming from a farming background it was interesting.
A couple of ideas for next time. How about an animal petting area for the kids and big kids among us. Apart from the pigs there were no other animals you could get up close to and touch. Also a big thanks to the tractor owners who let my son and fella sit on them and pretent to race. Perhaps some sort of ride on an animal or machine would go down well. Loved the entertainment in the main ring but any chance of a programme of events somewhere. If there were brochures I never saw any.
Waiting in anticipation for next years show and what a great way of bringing the farming and non-farming communities together. Thanks,Timebanker. :D :D :D
