Watsons

Postby jwbas » Thu Oct 13, 2016 8:46 pm

My mother was Jane Watson (1904-82) illegitimate daughter of Bessie McAlister (1883-1961) and John Watson. She was brought up by her grandmother at 10 Broad Street with her likewise illegitimate cousin Ellen (Nellie) Orr/Morrison (1908 - 1981).
John Watson, a farm labourer, is proving difficult to identify. There were a number of Watsons in Campbeltown at the time, and possible candidates, but no solid evidence. Any clues about a Watson on a farm near Campbeltown in October/November 1903 would be most welcome.

Hi...

I tried Ancestry but found nothing. I'm afraid you'll need more info !

I'd try surfing http://www.ralstongenealogy.com/kilkerrannewgraves.php
to see if any of them are mentionned.

If you're lucky, you can then ask for a photo of the headstone and that may provide additional information.

Good luck..., Iain.
