I am searching for my McNeil heritage and trying to trace it back to Scotland. I am as far back to Neil McNeill who came to NC in 1739 with the Argyll Colony in Cape Fear. I can't find anything on his wife or parents. He has children: Roger (my descendant), Henry, Hector, Catherine Margaret, & Flora.

Does anyone have any information on parents or his wife, even siblings might help. I'm stuck here and would love to track back further where my ancestry comes from.
