Mitchells of Campbeltown

Hi,
I am doing research into a man called James Mitchell, who was married in Comrie, Perthshire in 1834. On the 1851 census he is recorded as born in Argyllshire. My search for a birth leads me to believe that he may have been born 1809 in Campbeltown, the son of John Mitchell and Janet Langwill.
All of this is still speculation, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had a link to this family and might be able to help me confirm or discount??
