I think the old pram was a fairly standard means of transport for collecting coal at that time. It was a lot easier and cleaner to do what we did and just get the stuff from Neilly Fadyen.
As I was brought up in Albyn Avenue within a stone's throw of the gasworks, these photos recall a lot of memories. It's interesting to see an aerial view of the prefabs and how that area of the town was laid out. The last photo also shows how much that part of the town has changed over the years.
