Well thats Wednesday exercises done ...one more set to go . :shock:

Thought I would share my thoughts after tonights exercises.

Started with the leg raises and then continued on with one set of planks followed by 15 push ups ,then back to 3 minute planks , 15 push ups and of course the last 3 minute planks and 15 push ups with out any rest in between . phew !! I found it much better that way as it gave me a short rest between planks and the variation helped the mind. Ended with the tricep dips on the chair and at this time they are proving to be the hardest yet . Can get to 12/13 then the burn kicks in and i just manage the 15 and NO MORE !!! Killer Elaine :oops: All in all it took me approx 25mins

Hope the variaton counts DJD as dont want to have to repeat a set . :wink:

Much better than last week but i can only manage 5 of Elaine's tricep dips - they are a real killer. So Lightweight for me I guess.

DJD=Diehard

Did mine last session this morning,l have cut down on the rest period inbetween sets.l now have a balanced routine,but its easy for me than you guys as you are still RUNNING,so fja l would not be too disappointed with your effort and if the rest agree,Die hard for you too if you reach 10 dips on next weeks sessions.

Isla's exercise next for week 5.

Ok, seen this in Zest Magazine this week to help tone your calves and ankles.

Stand on the bottom step of a set of steps (hope everyone has a stairs somewhere close!) Could be in the house or your front door step! Even a stepper board. Make sure that the balls of your feet are resting on the edge with your heels over the edge.

Lower you heels until you can feel your calves stretching. Hold your balance by tightening your core muscles.

Then lift as high as you can on the balls of your feet so that your calves tighten and your heels are higher than your toes and then lower down to balance again.

If you don't have stairs handy then it could be done just standing and raising up on the balls of your feet and holding and lowering slowly.

3 x 15 reps to tie in with the rest of the routine.
