Hi All,

due to CGS prize giving, we have decided to have the 2nd race of the handicap series on,
Wednesday the 26th of June 2013 instead of the Tuesday the 25th of June. On doing this it will enable all the parents and the people involved in the prize giving not to miss out on the race it's self, and of course includes the junior runners as well.

I will confirm the venue and other details shortly. Please inform Suzy or myself if you missed the first race and would like a stab at the others races over the coming months. Don't let the hard work you put in for the MoK run, go to the whey side , keep the momentum up.

Hi All

Just to confirm the 2nd race of the Handicap Series

Race 2

Date : Wednesday 26th June 2013

Venue : Chiskan Waters

Time : 1900hrs

Distance : 3 miles

Terrain : Tarmac / Farm tracks

We would like to thank Mr & Mrs Turner who will kindly allow us to park around the limited space at their farm. So folks if you can car share, that would be appreciated. The other thing you could do is park at Stewarton and use the run in and back as part of your w/up c/dn.

The other thing is mainly for the ones that have not done this route. Can all runners keep to the left of the route, especially running the two lane track section. The onus will then be on the runner that wants to overtake to find his/her route passed that leading runner. I will again remind you on the quick brief we have before the start.

Anyone yet still to have a pop at a handicap race, feel free to get in touch with Suzy or myself.

Just a reminder for the handicap series which is tomorrow or see earlier post as to details. Also if anyone still wants to enter, just turn up and I will try and slot you in at a reasonable place according to your rough last race time if you have one.

Hi All,

Here is the route and start point for Tuesday.

Looking forward to this one, mostly due to compare some peoples times from a few years ago when we first put this series together.

Once again can we car share if possible and we hope to see as many as possible and any knew faces, or youngster that can run 3 miles (speed not needed).

See you Tuesday

Hi All,

A good turnout tonight, perfect for running, but not for standing still, (lol), I wonder why.

Well done to Andrew Renton on his debut on this month race and coming first, a gutsy performance. Also well done to all the youngster that ran tonight , they all faired well.

Everyone certainly ran to their best tonight, (your race times will verify that). Great finish from all, even though you scared the hell out of us, (officials), on us having to really be on our toes as you finished with a flurry and so close to each other. It was certainly a race to the line. The best we all have been part off.

Once again thanks to all, Suzy, Val, Alison, and Robert, for making it run smoothly, and believe me, without their input, we would struggle to make this event that it is. So a big thanks from me, guys and without all saying from all, a big thanks from the runners.

Suzy has sent the results through, once they have been checked the real times will be put up on here soon.

Many thanks from the team.

Sorry folks, the date is the 27th August and not the 20th. I could bluff it and say it was an error, but it is down to not reading the norm.

Hi All,

Well done to all that braved the cold as well as that prevailing wind which you runners had to battle through for the second half of race last night. Westport beach race, not only retains its outstanding beauty while running it, it certainly is one of the toughest runs in the races series as a whole. So again, well done to all that ran last night.

Thanks to Suzy, Alison and Marjorie, for their time, skills and smiles which make everything run smoothly, great job ladies.

The results will be put up, once we have doubled checked them.

Last but not least, well done to all the junior runners that make the whole night a complete family social gathering with their mums and dads either running with or supporting them, great to see. Even the dogs enjoyed the night.

Thanks see you all at the finale

Hi All,

just to confirm the last race of the 5 Race Series Handicap will be held on the fast flat course in Campbeltown as in previous years. Please note the time which will be as close to 18:30hrs as possible for the first runner or runners to be set off. This is due to the light change over the coming weeks.

Race 5

Date: 24th September 2013

Venue: Campbeltown

Time: 18:30hrs

Distance: 3miles

Terrain: Road/Tarmac

Please all wear Hi/Vis clothing for your own safety especially the younger ones as once again we go down low Askomil road and back. This is just a reminder and aimed at the more younger runners to run on the right with the traffic coming towards you and let the traffic unless directed have the right of way.

We look forward to seeing you all and new runners are welcomed on the night.
