Hi All
Due to the light and the time of the year and of course the little success we have had over the summer with the numbers that have attended (and still rising), we are moving the Friday junior running session to a Sunday morning, for the winter period.
The times will be as follows. (Weather permitting).
Sunday 10:30 - 1200 hrs. (Starting 29th Sept 2013)
The reason for this, is that we hope to secure a building for training on the Friday night (time yet to be decided if successful). The Sunday session is on the anticipation that we will not. However If we are successful in securing a building , then we will still go ahead with the Friday plus the added Sunday session.
A monthly program of sessions can be seen on the Campbeltown Running Club web site, either for the Friday/Sunday.
The weekly sessions will vary from week to week. The weeks will incorporate all aspects of running, set in a program over a 10/12 week period and so on.
Obviously some Sundays will be missed due to weather, races, etc. The aim is to get as many Sundays over the year as possible and hopefully we will continuing all year round if it’s a success.
The sessions will however be centred on fun, form and the fundamentals of running (not Athletics) for the younger section as a whole as well as the older section.
Within that 10/12 week period, a fun run will be held at the end of the month for all. Parents of the younger section will be either asked to participate or will be at least expected to help out, either to marshall or help out on any other safety aspect that will occur before hand.
If the numbers grow, then we shall be looking for any help from parents that will assist us in anyway, like some parents have already done so over the past 4 months.
Last but not least. Campbeltown Running Club will require the attached forms to be completed as soon as possible. They can be collected from either myself or sent via email for you to download. PM me with your email address.
This is just a blue print of what we intend to do, so the events and the places to run will or might have to change over the course of winter due to the weather.
Thanks
