CJRC "Jolly Jingle" Handicap Xmas Run

Postby DJD » Sun Nov 01, 2015 10:56 pm

Hi All

Campbeltown Junior Running Club coaches are holding an open Xmas Handicap race on one of the following dates, (which will be flexible due to the hectic December period) Sunday 13th or 20th Dec.

The idea behind it, is that it will be run as a good fun handicap race on the day, dressed and which is optional in a festive fancy dress. The distance and venue will be the same as our last handicap, which was Campbeltown and a distance off 2.5 km.

It is an open race, so anyone above the age of 8/9 years and can comfortably cover the distance of 2.5km easily are welcome to enter.

Basically, everyone buys a present to the value of £5.00 maximum and donates it, that it would suit either a boy or girl (unisex) then the present that is donated gets a number and what ever number that person finishes within the race get that numbered present.

This is just a pre flyer and to get the word out to see who and how many would be up for a bit of fun

Thanks.

Due to the Pool closure and the swimming being held on a Sunday up at Lochgilphead for the duration. This event is now going to be held on the Saturday morning due to most of the club runners attending.

The dates will be either the 12th or the 19th of Dec as yet to be decided. The reason being we can be flexible due to the weather.

Entry on the day is allowed which means you don't have to register, just turn up for a bit of fun and the coaches will put you in amongst the rest.

As we have said " the emphasise is on it being FUN and hopefully a wee surprise if you don't get you own prize back"

Thanks.
