I remember Baltimore very clearly ! When I was only 19 years old, I was refused entry to a bar which, I suppose had "ladies of ill-repute." All my Pipe Band mates were allowed in..., while I had to admire from a distance !

As a former pipe band member myself, I can vouch that no band members would have been interested in these ladies.

Hi Emdee ! On finishing that tour I'm sure that certain would have wished to have had the same moral integrity. I know for a fact that the US population was increased ! Not by me of course…, I was always on the "pavement" so-to-speak !

Mention of inebriated newsreaders brings back memories of probably the greatest of them all, ITN News at Ten presenter Reginald Bosanquet, on one occasion parodied on a comedy show as "Reginald Boozanquet".

His nightly slurred presentation was unique.
