Concerns all week with regards the weather were swept to one side as Campbeltown baked in glorious sunshine at the annual RNLI Gala Day.
Eighteen teams entered the raft race and there were two heats of nine before eight rafts took to the waters of Campbeltown Loch in the final. Campbeltown RNLI took the honours once again beating HIE Airport Staff who took second ahead of Last Minute. A great day of fun for all and enjoyed by a huge crowd.
The initial disappointed of the RAF Helicopter not appearing due to an emergency in the lake district was short lived as the crew made a special appearance after the final of the raft race.
Well done to everyone involved in putting this event together. More photos to follow later.
