Well that makes things interesting! Italy - Spain final!

Carolyn now leads with 263 points and Kyle on 2 points behind on 261. Carolyn has Italy to win and Kyle has Spain so down to the final game!

May the best man win! ..............oh, aye that's right its a wumin and a boy! (shows how much us so called experts know about football!)

What a howler! All to play for but Kyle remains in the lead on 261 with Carolyn on 253! Anyway, one game to go and either can win it! :-)

Here is the league table after last night's semi final - down to the final game with young Kyle and Carolyn to battle it out for first prize and £500. Kyle has Spain to win and Carolyn has Italy to win!

Ones with a green fill under Winners can still get 10 points. If you have a big fat zero like Colin Middleton does then you are finished :-)

I had a good stab at it eh?

Well my money is on Kyle coming top. But I hope he doesn't hold his breath on my support, because my predictions have been rubbish :<> :?:

Well done both of you, very clever! I am ecstatic that I got in the top 10 when I just about got in the top half last year so next year, look out!!!

Well there you go - it's all over and 9 year old Kyle Colville takes all the plaudits for coming out on top of the predictor with Spain winning the final last night. The local lad correctly guessed 14 out 15 predictions in the knock out stages to take top prize and £500. Carolyn Renton takes second place and £50 with Roy Colville third getting £20.

The final league table is shown below and highlights that 4 out of the top 6 were ladies highlighting how little us men really know about football!

Thanks to everyone who entered - without your participation there isn't any competition and kids football will benefit from the £590 raised. So many thanks again.

Kyle is pictured last night receiving his £500 first prize. Think the smile says it all.

Agree totally GG. Well done to all the winners and especially Kyle. 14 results out of the last 15 games is quite incredible. Superb organisation once again Davie. Nearly two years for you to prepare for the next one :) . More competition next time around for Spain with Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay likely to be in the mix.

..and maybe Sco... ok maybe not.

Well done to Kyle for such an impressive run of correct predictions and to the 'promoter' of the comp Mr P.

I'll claim the prize of the biggest faller, a full 103 places from the end of Round 1 - equally impressive with only 116 participants.
Should Scotland be an Independent country?

Yes, I believe Scotland is a country and should therefore govern itself.
No, Scotland is not a country it is simply part of the UK and should therefore be governed from London.

Didn't quite realise that until you pointed it out. I thought I was bad but that is just horrendous! :-) I bet Mrs McGeachy is laughing at us now after her mere 4 points after the first stage to go on and predict the winner!! :-)

All the best best

David

I'm not sure what concerns me most about the photo:

(a) A child being rewarded for gambling
(b) Davie P blatantly handing Kyle £50 and telling him it's £500
(c) the wallpaper
(d) all of the above

Probably have to go with (d)
