I have several, and hopefully will provide pictures. So here goes-

The view from the top of the Mull of Kintyre AKA the Gap. The vista is superb on a clear day with almost 270 degrees of view. Ayrshire to Islay with NI in the middle. It is simply wonderful.

On the way back you come across a view looking towards Ayrshire taking in Sanda Island and Ailsa Craig.

The view from atop Davaar takes some beating but, gun to my head, I would go for a clear day on Creag Bhan, Gigha 8)

One viewpoint which is probably overlooked is that from the top of Cnoc Moy, the highest mountain in Kintyre after Beinn an Tuirc.

The 360 degree view gives views over mainland Kintyre, Arran, Ayrshire, Wigtownshire, Northern Ireland, Islay, Jura, Gigha.

Probably one of the finest viewpoints in Scotland, but overlooked because of its inaccesibility. Cnoc Moy is also a wee bit boggy on the top, so you need to be careful or you might lose your footwear.

One of the bonuses is that on the way up you get a wonderful vew of Southend and Sanda and Sheep Island, which look surprisingly small from this location.

Roger, If you want to see Kintyre in its context within the local area of the British Isles, this is the best high point of Kintyre from which to see it.

Apart from the view, from here one can see the scale of the peninsula.

Maybe some forum members might have some photos from Cnoc Moy.
