I could be wrong, but wasn't there something called Revels that were very similar to Treets ?

Treets became M&Ms. Revels (they were still around a couple of years back) contained a selection of chocolates - coffee, orange, coconut, toffee, choc buttons AND chocolate-covered peanuts.

Coffee Flavour....I remember when we were in Gib that boxes of chocs were dirt cheap and dad and I used to fight over who got the coffee flavoured choc in the box, he always won. I used to get one once in a while, it was like giving a dog a Good Boy and getting patted on the head at the same and "Now sod off and leave me in peace".
At that time there was chocs that came in a tube shaped like a ten bob bit, I think they were Drosties, something along those lines.
We used to get liqueurs over there that had real booze in not like the fake stuff like Famous Names, it was the first time I tried an apricot drink, it was vile.

I never forgave them for changing Marathon to Snickers, it wasn't right.
What was that toffee, it was about the same shape and size as a 12" ruler ?

Nah, it was before they came out. It was like a flat strip with a very distinctive taste.

I see Fry`s 5 centre bar on there, but I used to love their triple bars, one was a layer of dark chocolate sandwiched between 2 layers of milk chocolate, and the other was the opposite, a layer of milk between 2 layers of dark, mmmmm! Also, Nestles did a Triple bar, 3 layers of milk, white and dark chocolate. You may have guessed that I like chocolate! Martin, you don`t mean Curly Wurly do you?

I was thinking Curly-Wurly at first, but McCowan's made a long, thin toffee bar as well as the block of toffee.

No NP it wasn't Curly Wurly, that was disgusting old muck.
Shona, it could well have been McCowan's. I think it came in a red wrapper with either yellow or white text on. I could be wrong, having realised over the past few days that my memory isn't as good as I thought it was.
NP, Fry's Chocolate Cream, oooh that was sickly, my mum's mum used to give me that, I'm sure she did it just to see how sick it would make me !

Thanks Roger but it wasn't one of those. I'm now starting to doubt my memory.
