Southend is the cradle of civilistion in Kintyre......Scotland even........
Dunaverty where the first Scots set foot after their trip from Ireland, where St Columba also landed and layed down his footprints...where centuries later the Campbells hunted the MaDonalds all the way down from Rouhnahairn(guess at spelling Wetman

) and slaughtered them on the rock....The Massacre of Dunaverty, where Flora McCambridge spirited away a McD baby with the help of the one kind hearted Campbell guard.
Southend, once home of the Epidii and the original Keil school.
Keil cave where Robert the Bruce sheltered on his way to Rathlin, Keil grave yard, best, most atmospheric cemetary in the country, where 6 of my great grandparents lie. There is mory history between Muneroy and Carskiey than in most of rest of Kityre put together...
The Mull of Kintyre and all the history there...MoK is NOT anywhere South of Terbert! Dunavery Golf Club, which, as pointed out by our esteemed Web Master DavieP contains some of the best golfing views in Scotland.
Southend, home of Angus McVicar, Flori Loighnahan, Maggie Taggie of Langholm,Queen Esther Houston of Polliwilline caves. John McCorkindale OBE, Hector the Hero, champion golfer Belle Robertson the list goes on and on....but I wont.......! there is more I can add and might edit in as time goes on!
