Right Pongal, Civic Pride is what your after is it, well you needn't look any further than our very own Gary.

Just look at his efforts here. Bochan-proof keech collectors and a very appreciative dog. All that's missing is the instructions. It doesn't tell you how many pairs of gloves the dog should put on. Neither does it tell the dog whether or not the gloves should be worn on both the fore and hind paws.

Nonetheless, a perfect example of modern day Civic Pride. Well done Gary, wouldn't you agree its made 'Sally's Walk' Right Pongal right enough

is that no right snoddy?

Mr Morenish, I am a great advocate of everything in moderation, and that includes alcohol, which has a great many uses as well as missuses in medicine.

An alternative therapy for those with joint pain, is to strip off to your underwear and walk into a thicket of lush nettles, lying down at a point where the maximum contact with the plants can be achieved. A little bit of red wine will do you more good than harm, and warmed whisky with honey is good for assisting in a good nights sleep. Just make sure you dispense it to the children as well.

Yeez are a' far too clever for this long time Southender

But hoot is it? Bochan MOR or Bochan MHOR?

And tell me about Sally's Walk....is it named after a Sally or is it a corruption of Sallix ...are there many Sallix willows in the vicinity?

Just wunnerin' as we have a Sally's Turn near here.

That all depends whether or not your addressing me directly!

Legend has it that at least 4 Generations ago, Sally (A local Girl) joined the path at one end with her dog, and never emerged at the other. As the story grew legs, the dog apparently emerged at the other end minus its hair.

The bocans had an alibi, but I'm not sure about the heidless horseman.

Maybe Sally's dog evacuated its bowels and she made no effort to tidy up after it. Somebody or some thing with even more civic pride than Gary & Right Pongal, then decided to dole out some radical disciplinary measures on the pair of them out.

Apparently Sally's body was never found!

Away with you Bochan Mor! More folk like Gary and less like your apathetic self, is what the village needs to move towards prosperity.

Time you all got down and cleaned up the beach at the quay, and gave those awful looking boats a lick of paint. Look at the Bakers Shop. What an improvement. The old 'Tearoom' at the Glen is also getting a facelift. More power to their elbow.
Don't jeest leave it at yer erse, everything has a place ....................so keep it Pongal!

Mr Morenish, I was only trying to establish whether or not you would consider such therapy to be suitable for your own needs. Now that you have acknowledged an interest, all that remains is to find a club to match your fiscal expectations.

Fire Away Gary, the script writers @ Bochan Mor have no objections. I'm not sure if a black labrador live on the 'Goat Cam' having a dump in Sally's Walk would be a big hit with your viewers, but who knows? (A Great Dane maybe)

Sensational headlines sell papers they say!

Easy enough to answer, Morenish. I didn't bang the post in straight enough. It started out okay but must have hit a rock somewhere down below and went off line. I didn't notice until it was too late. Maybe I'll pull the post out sometime and re-do it but not for a while.

Cheers

Now, now, Morenish, shame on you for disrepsecting the tunnag. I swear I've never told a living soul about the time you dressed up the scarecrow in ladies apparel.....
