Nothing to do with this motley crew

Postby Sanyanya » Wed Oct 19, 2005 9:56 am

Gary, I would like to completely and utterly dis-associate myself from any of the following members. Morenish, bubbly, bobbly, scoop, Bochan, Horseman, Snoddy, Davie P, Malky & Oorly. I don't know who they are or anything about them, except that they can be quite cutting at times.

I think I know who the Gamekeeper is, but the least said the better! Neil seems like a reasonable enough chap.

Whips & Jingles

Postby Bochan Mor » Wed Oct 19, 2005 12:38 pm

I have a hunch that Gary is possibly Whips & Jingles. After he planted the seed that some people might have more than one pseudo name, it struck me that W&J comes over as local or semi local, without the phsychie of the indigenous species.

What about Hoopoe? Is this Gary as well? Kneel isn't your alter ego by any chance?

No, Whips&Jingles isn't me.

I won't deny having used a pseudonym on a few occasions but it's precisely that, single figures. Virtually all of my messages are under my real name.

Cheers

'Nearly never put a ship ashore!' as the old yins used to say. Lets substitute Nearly for 'Virtually'.

Now you've really put the gleshins in amongst the herring. What could be the pseudonym used by Gary?

I noticed somebody registered as Goatie on 25th April, but that seems much to obvious.

Hugh Jarse: Now there's a name that only posted the once. Is this you?

No, Goatie wasn't anything to do with me.

Number 54 is one of mine. Haven't used it in ages though. I think I might even have emailed Davie to delete it.

Like I said, I just use my real name now.

Cheers

Going by the Goat website Carradale must have the richest football team in Scotland after being awarded over a thousand pounds from the Wind Farm Trust!  Credit to all of those involved who have put so much hard work in....

Rumour has it, with all this money flying about, the ITV are filming the next series of Footballers Wifes in the Dale!

We were only joking about this in the pub the other night. How Nonnie would soon be looking to 'buy' players from other clubs.

Hi Guys, its a few years since I spent any quality time in Torrisdale & Carradale, but I would imagine that ITV would maximize their potential by channelling their budget into a brand new series: 'Fishermens' wives'.

They wouldn't even have to pay a script writing team; just sit at the bar with Gary and the boys for a few hours every week and Bingo......

PS Sorry, but I am not Gary.

Cheers

The award from the Wind Farm Trust was maybe to fund a squad of minders for when they go on tour this summer around the primary schools of Argyll and to assist in the cost of helicoptering the referees in and out safely.

Absent Without Leave!

Gary old Bean,

I think that you may discover that the answer to this question is much less complex than it initially seems.

The above noted absentee posters all have one thing in common. They all have to travel to Campbeltown to attend appointments with the Department of Social Security, psychiatrists, physiotherapists and debt councillors all on the same day.

Being recipients of so many benefits, they don't fall into the negative equity trap associated with calling on the services of dentists and lawyers, or opticians for that matter.

With hindsight, my chosen vocation would probably still have been within the health sector, but in one of the areas where masks and pistols are presented along with the scroll on graduation!

Just think of it in terms of winning the National Lottery. Although you do not actually get your hands on the capital, you would be more than comfortably living off the interest..... and only committing yourself to no more than 9-5, 5 days a week.

What a fool I have been!
Dr Snod Esq.

Two spoonfulls of Halibut-Liver Oil, Morning & Evening. You know the surgery hours, so don't bother me at any other time. I most certainly don't get paid enough.

Any resemblance to Snoddy's past and present are purely coincidental!

Old Photos

Postby Bochan Mor » Thu Oct 20, 2005 9:38 pm

Come on now Gary, when are you going to parade yer auld photo of the newly finished harbour with the crane still in-situ?

Remember to keep looking o'er yer shoulder, as there's bochans all around you. If they're at all indigenous then there's a touch of the bochan in them. Could be the friendly shop keeper or fermer, skipper, retired fisherman, ferryman, post mistress, paperboy, fish processor or barman for that matter!

They're all suspects, and possibly networking their resources!
