Ah wis concerned tae read yir "post" Chuckiebay. Ye must be in right poor shape if yir
pechin doing a "Pride o' Erin" waltz.
Mind Ah had RSI o' ma legs, efter overdoing the runs ( Ah wis doing 4 a day ) Am back
on the rod, an A've cut back tae 2 runs a day.Am now na far off "the peak O' condition"
an' jest aboot ready fur an "Eightsome Reel "
Why dont ye get yirsel kitted oot an join me fir the runs doon the rod ,an back up the
quay brae?
Am pretty sure, efter a few weeks,Y'll naw know yirsel, an y'll be ready "tae tak the floor"
tae the strains o' Alex an his accordian.Ye'll gie the young ones a run fir their money
when it comes tae executing a "Strip The Willow"

Grand foties JD. Ah'm wunderin if the legs on Catherine Paterson have come from Iain Bhan. Ah wid love tae dae the race but ah only hiv wee spirtles fur legs an ah don't think they wid manage tae get me very far even if a joined sarid on her jaunts up an doon the quay brae.

It's fearful quiet on here the now. Ah hope it's naw an eerie silence that'll be broken wi a wild shiroy. Ah hope Witchnettle's naw been held against hur wull in yon caboodle.

I'm still waiting for my invite to the caboodle, i can only presume the lack of it means either yon john the post has pinched it and will disguise himself as me to get in,(now theres a nice image at this time of the morning ) or i am not one of the chosen few who will be allowed to see inside the hallowed caboodle.
Of course the fact that my handcuffs have been spotted is tricky, i can only say that one of my hobbies is escapology (and hope i am believed). However they came in gie useful last night when i was over at a wild shindig in whitehouse and those west coast boys put you east coasters to shame, more hands than an octupus they have. It bring a rare smile to a girls face, but i have to say there were a couple of times the handcuffs came in very useful, and i think the less said about that the better.
But those vatersay boys would be a great wee band to play at the caboodles summer party which i am sure the Bochan is organising even as we speak.

ochone,ochone!
apologies fur no keepin up wi all the goins on in the dale i was away upgradin this old computer, i got given a copy of mr wonderful gates windows "vista ultimate" an so far i can vouch for it bein the "ultimate" in terms o trouble, if it wis a tractor the world would be starving!
however it's still on here and working somedays, jeest lake masell before any o yoos cheeky bu**ers say it!
but while i was indisposed i see there have been other upgrades on here and very nice it is too.
however i also see that the "discushons" are jeest the same as usual, hoots "bondage?" is it a knot for tyin up boats or crews?

hoots conj....con..conjeek...tur i take it its something to do wi wilt sex stories in the outer aisles as witchnettle is involved?
but i dont think the bochan will book the vatersay boys as he's probably related to some of them, but he'll no admit it seein they're cath..campbells!

as for polishin the black shadows wheels indeed sanyanya twigged he had the wrong sort of tyres on and we saved him any embarrasment by removing them, they fitted the trailer fine.

is the parabochanhandy back from his puffering around the med?
is it true they partook of hospitality in the frigate with angus and ended up ashore on lesbos because "duigie" had taken "her oot"while para lay sleeping it off, an jeest wisnae up to the navigaaashun as well as steerin
apparently mzz "sonny jim" cameron refused to go ashore "jeest in case" an then painted the funnel a wilt wrong colour.
then bochan has the cheek to hold a dance to help pay for the extra coal, man, man, jeest that.
if i'm spared

Ach Morenish, yer there right enough. I just assumed that you were doing the Marathon (Probably eating it) and had yet to cross the line. You might have cut the grass for me when I was away, as I had a wild job getting through it between the heat and wummin stopping to admire my tanned and honed physique as I waltzed the mower over the Tormor pastures.

Lounging about in the Med would suit the likes of yerself just fine, but not good for the likes of me.

I see that you also did a raid on my freezers when I was away, but just to let you know, the ling was actually an old conger that I had placed strategically for nosy beggars roochling for pruch.

now bochan yer showin yer age here they're no called marathons anymore (snicker  )

now i migt have taken a leaf out of the kiwi farmers handbook an stolen yer silage right oot the field while ye were away but thats no the way we work in kintyre!
and im sure you would be quite comfortable lounging in the med if you would at least hing up that peajecket and loosen the laces in yer boots.
i bet the security boys had a good check in yer oilskins afore they let you board the plane.
it must have cost you a small fortune in suncream,(castrol ep60) lips nose, ears and the bit between yer eyebrows and hairline :D

sanyanya says the ling was deleeshuss, because he knows you'd never keep a relation o yer own in a freezer.

thats a wilt good photy o jackie wi his medal "james mclean fixed it for me"!

Morenish, you're forgetting about your own honeymoon photos. Mrs Morenish showed me the one of you on the beach at Salou with your bib & brace and gaitors turned up. She said that you skinned your heels on the first day, marching across the sand in your tactless boots and smart new woollen kilt socks that your great auntie had knitted especially for the occassion.

She said that you came home with the pattern of your string vest branded onto your torso and the 4 inches above the ankles peeled like a prawn. The radiation from the half crown that had baked in your pocket throughout your stay, set off the scanners in the airport and resulted in a full body search by a smiling and dubious matador who took great delight in happy slapping your toasted shoulders.

Anyway, they say that you haven't had to light a fire under thon crooked, gravity defying lum of yours for some weeks now. At least Sanyanya and the village's firemen were able to come off red alert and sleep without their protective clothing for a few nights.

I forgot to ask, you don't happen to have a sweet tooth by any chance?

I found a bag of treacle toffee in my kitchen this morning and had a wild job prising the jaws of the bochanette apart after she had sampled it?

I'm damned if I know where it came from, but it should be patented. I got peace to watch the football as all the wummin couldna speak for long enough! I was surmising that maybe it was created over at your catering establishment and that you had left it in lieu of the conger.

Ach well, I'd better go and water the grass.

Re: Carradale - changes at the Bay

Postby chuckiebay » Mon Jun 02, 2008 8:07 pm

Ah'm wae yi bitter. At ma age there urna meny "fursts " left ti dae but a cuppl'a weeks ago ah hid the pleshir o' paddlin across the Burn at the Bay an ah don't mean the wee ballymenach wan. Ah think masel the Bay is trevellin east. Thir's sand up the Ballymenach burn tae the bridge and the grass bank is retreatin towards Portrigh. Ah think in a few hunner years the Point'll be an island. That'll maybe bring peace tae the folk then in Portrigh as the goats'll be stuck but then maybe the hooses at Portrigh'll be a goner too.

Whit dae yez think?
