Am back on to eat humble pie...
Diesel at the County today is UP to 134.9p and unleaded is 121.9
Is there a reasonable explanation why it can drop 2p then rise 3p within a week?

There is an explanation it is lack of competition and downright greed.. If there is ever another outlet opened I hope everyone remembers.. Last time I was in I mentioned the difference in price and was told I didnt have to go there :x

Buy your Spannish fruit & veg now!!!

We are not alone. According to the local Greeks ave. wage is around £600 a month and the local papers are forcasting ' We're all doomed'.

County has dropped to 132.9 for diesel and 120.9 for unleaded :?
Does this mean it will be 135.9 and 122.9 in a couple of days???
Incidently, Tarbert is now 137p a litre

All these examples do NOT imply that petrol is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are....
You will be really shocked by the last one!
(At least, I was...)
Compared with Petrol......
Think a gallon of petrol is expensive?
This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective.
Diet Snapple 16 oz £1.29 .. £10.32 per gallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz £1.19 ...........£9.52 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz £1.25 ......... £10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz £3.15 ...... £33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz E8.35 ... £178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz £3.85 . £123.20 per gallon
Tippex 7 oz £1.39 ....... . £5.42 per gallon

And this is the REAL KICKER...

Evian water 9 oz £1.49..£21.19 per gallon! £21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source

(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.) !!

Someone sent me that yesterday...thought it was maybe worth posting......

You don't even want to compare it with perfume or after shave.

4th Gen - bet you never thought you'd see the day when petrol was more expensive to buy from the supermarket than milk  Do you think the oil producers are getting the same raw deal as farmers - doubt it.

All you need to do is invent a car that runs on milk, or better still, slurry :D

Ranald and I just drove to London and back. The cheapest diesel price we found, including the centre of London, was £130.9, in Dumbarton  The average price on the Motorway was £1.37 and in the middle of London was £1.32, so maybe the County ain't so bad after all
