Plenty Photos

Postby Bochan Mor » Wed Nov 09, 2005 9:51 pm

And damn fine you know that I've got one of the finest collections of boat photos in all of Kintyre and maybe Argyll or beyond, well those that haven't been purloined by a few choice, but rogue pretenders. The yacht in question must have thrown a drogue anchor out to give the big fella a sporting chance of reaching the harbour restrictions ahead of the leisure fleet.

I'm not quite sure that I should risk sampling any of those wee blue pills that Snoddy has obviously been scattering around the village like confetti. They're saying that one of the elderly skippers had to have the cabin hatch enlarged with an oxy-acetylene axe, as his weekend doze of his recreational drug of choice was raising much more than a quizzical eyebrow.

Indeed it's often still working wonders on the following Monday evening, resulting in him resorting to bedding down in the relative discomfort of the wheelhouse platform. You would have thought that the bitter autumnal air would have been enough to take the wind out of his biblical sails, but the Monday Mitzen is allegedly still very much to the fore. I suppose its an extra spoke for the wheel when he's cantting at the top of the Sound, but I bet his wife's damn glad to hear the alarm clock on Monday morning, but my goodness the skate falling on the deck from the first lift of the day are said to look extremely nervous!

I've just been reading about that comical, dancing carry on, described very eloquently by that rogue/bleggard Sanyanya. Don't worry, we'll not let onto Mrs Morenish about thon night. We all know about envisaging the village belle in all her finery, ably aided and abetted by the best pair of German beer goggles money could buy.

Here now Morenish, your keeping me late, I've got another appointment for tonight and the heid man will no doubt make his displeasure known! I'd better keep an eye out for that plague witchnettle. With her denying all knowledge of the Spoot Wood, she's quite liable to be lurking around and looking for a fishermans' gait.

Now Malky, Gary's just doing his bit for the environment. He only has to resort to the beans when his other source of methane runs low, usually after all the visitors have gone home for the summer, or the four legged brutes shed their load too far away from the Keech Collectors.

I wonder if the silencer is street legal, or is it one of those tuned pipes that you hear the young flas going on about.

How many miles do you get to the gallon Gary? and is there some kind of catalytic converter to handle or re-process the solids?

Never the less, its a good photo of you, and i recognised you right away, even without seeing your face. Cant think what gave you away, can you.

I expect that he's making the most of the rain, and re-hydrating his skin. Maybe Malky has seen him sprachling about in the rock pools over on the West Side. Maybe he could get a photo!

Heheh. Hey, what with the price of petrol being so high you've gotta explore alternative fuels.

Cheers

Now Mr End, (or can I call you Bitter?) at various times on here both myself and thon Heidless Numpty have warned people that there are wans that'll steal the eyes oot yer heid and try and sell them back to you without breaking their stride. This is equally true of the Internet as in real life. Let this be a lesson to you. Forget firewalls. What you need to do is gather up all your compromising photographs, and I mean all of them, take them outside and bury them under the coalis floor. Don't take any chances and whatever else you do don't trust your neebors family or freends. Especially freends.! It's all very funny for them when they put you on some droll "geographical" website but that is just the thin end of the wedge. The ones that come to ogle your winklepickers are from a far darker place ...........

In fact, if you're that good, maybe you'll tell me who my teacher was in Primary 3?

There was a fat turkey named bubbly,
Who gobbled whenever he ran.
He came out of the bush,
Presenting his tush,
And was shot up the arse by an Oman.

Sorry LO you're not catching me that way I'm naw putting my heed ower the parapet that easy.

Fyne you know it!

Postby Bochan Mor » Fri Nov 11, 2005 10:02 pm

Aye Bitter End, you need to watch the Fynesiders. There's no badness in them, but boy are they full of devilment. One of the great secrets of Tarbert is 'The Fair'.

I always believed that it only lasted for a week during the summer, but damn me, it turns out that yes, they throw everything into celebrating the start of the fair every year, but they go on all year. Something to do with the Lunar cycle.

Any word on Morenish being involved in a new co-operative venture. Rumour has it that massive poly-tunnels are being planned for the Bay Field. They're saying that all sorts of traditional crops are to be nurtured, depending on the season.

Golden Wonders for the Tattie & Herrin nights in January, Curly Kale for broth in February, Carrots for the Mince in March, Currants for the Hot Cross Buns in April (I don't know why they're particularly angry in April), Oats for the porridge in May, Onions for the steaks in June, Strawberrys for the Tennis in July, BRAMBLES for the jeely in August, Mushrooms for the dance at September Weekend, Tumshies for the lanterns in October, King Eddies for the bangers & mash in November and Juniper berries in December for the new secret marinade for the herring at the Roading Smokehouse.

They're saying that the excess heat from the bakehouse is going to be funneled into the tunnels to speed up the growth. A fine place for Sanyanya to take up residence!
