Iceblue,

PM me your splits and who was just in front of you and see if l can find the mistake.??Your first mile will be a good indicator on how you have run, also if yours is wrong then a few others will be too, thos who was just in front of you.

l would like to say thanks to Bernard who just found us out of nowhere and took the opportunity to add a touch off how we runners with the same aims, can just enjoy a run no matter how fast or slow anyone is and just blend in nicely.

He has also given to me a few Swiss niceties to add to our end of Series presentation drink if we have one, or it will be given on the last run. I'm sure l speak for all off us"Thanks Bernard and have a good run in one of the toughest marathon's out in September and your always welcome back here in Campbeltown".

For all that are running Glasgow shortly, have a good run.

Another excellent race, well done to Donald and all the folks giving up their time to do the results recording etc, it truly couldn't be done without you......

Cheers,

I'm looking forward to the next race....where and when is it?

And, any results or photos from the Barr Glen race?

Oh aye, now I remember the results  see, DavieP, when you are 10 years older you will start forgetting stuff too...ask Malky!!

Since the Barr Glen race when I ran in pain with that calf bandage you were all making fun of  and fear that the muscle was going to go PING at any second ( and the song Delaney's Donkey in my mind!) there has not been even the slightest twinge in the problem calf muscle. What ever happened that night seems to have cured it, for now at least. I have been able to train hard on road and gym since then...long distances outside and speed stuff on the treadmills in the Aqualibrium...getting back to some decent level of fitness and am hoping to enter the Oban Half Marathon on 4th October as well as the last 2 in the Handicap Series.

Dear Wee Toon Runners

Thank you very much for letting me take part in your trainings and races!
I greatly enjoyed being part of your running group and regularly meeting you!

My race a few weeks ago didn't go very well - at km 25 I started to feel sick and it pretty much stayed like that for the rest of the race - or got even worse... Still I enjoyed the great scenery and was VERY HAPPY when I reached the finishing line.

It's soon time for your next handicap race so I wish you all fast and injury-free going!

Best regards

Bernhard
Runners just do it - they run for the finish line even if someone else has reached it first.

I'll not make Tuesday which means I won't have done my monthly 3 mile run! 8)

A few of us have mentioned after the last race in October (perhaps the following Fri or likes) that we have a night out and presentation. If we all put in a fiver each we can cover the cost of prizes, eats and drinks. 8) (anything for a night out 8) ) If you think this is a good idea let me know and I can arrange to collect the £5s at the last race.

Enjoy Tuesday night - I'll be thinking about you all. 8)

Donald,

Am happy to help with time keeping again, or what ever job is going.

Have started back running again with no pain, but fitness levels are not what they were, so I fear Benguillon would absolutely kill me.

Douglas may be also free on Tuesday to help.

The GR refers to the cottages at the top of Tomaig Road next to the dog kennels.

I can start to collect monies if anyone wants for the presentation in October if they aren't going to make it or may forget before next month seeing as David is jetting off (mind my turkish delight)...
