Well who's an easily pleased happy bunny. Slobbering wae delight at a game more suited to a Man U. thug who is a sandwich short of a picnic, in my opinion of course.

Bochan mor I came home the night tae the Dale thread and found it taken over wae colonials and immigrants. Wile carry on

As for you Sanyanya you must be dizzy birlin fae wan camp tae the other Christ, I thought I was easy led. Poor wee birds like me have a hard enough time at this time of year withoot locals turning redcoat.

I'll be sending you wan of bubbly Jeans white feathers in the post withoot the card.

And as for poor old Snoddy, he's been retired for forty years and still thinks he's a Quack.

I've been hearing Freedom was ower on a trade mission tae Poland and was trying tae flog green tights tae the locals. He set up the stall in wan of the Xmas markets and the shout was

Get your green tights here, as worn at the switch on in Campbeltown Naw sure if he sold many but you have tae give him credit for effort.

He was allegedly wearing them for effect. Will he be taking them off when the lights go off in January?.

Ach we'll know how long they were on by the amount of dogs rifling through his bin.

Is it naw time these Xmas lights were off. What a waste of electricity

Colonials, harumpffff

Sounds like Christmas dinner.. turkey and whine

Thought you might be interested to read what Benjamin Franklin said in a letter to his daughter pertaining to the national bird of the US:

""For my own part I wish the Bald Eagle had not been chosen the Representative of our Country...... For the Truth the Turkey is in Comparison a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America... He is besides, though a little vain & silly, a Bird of Courage, and would not hesitate to attack a Grenadier of the British Guards who should presume to invade his Farm Yard with a red Coat on."

I seem to have plenty of feathers in my pillow at the moment thank you. My Friend in Manchester posted them North after his turkey shoot at the start of the week. Obviously though he has yet to hit the the biggest chook of them all, when you are still in a position to stravaig around the forum like the cock of the North. Besides, I'm quite sure that the bubbly Jean could well do without you plucking the feathers from her erse at this time of year.

Redcoat, yellowcoat, what should it matter to you? Solidarity was never a strong point in the village. Besides, who ever took the side of the happy campers down at the Mains road?

Time to go now, I have to go and set the snares for tomorrow's dinner. Who knows, I may even scatter some seed, see if I can get myself a plump turkey.

PS. Does anyone know where I can get a Christmas tree? It should be no higher than the ridge pole in a traditional canvas tent....Must be fireproof!

Is that not a terrible carry on over on that new board room. I certainly don't want anything to do with it. I wonder if bubbly and Bochan are way over their heads this time.

That fellow, Peaceseeker, reminds me a bit of the grim reaper. When we used to camp in Wester Ross, my mother and father used to religiously take us to the local Presbyterian Church, and the fellow in the pulpit was far less intimidating.

We only attended because there was a wee cup of tea and a scone for the women and children at the end of the service. The men would all huddle in the toilets. I never understood why there was a glass recycling skip in the church yard, and why it was emptied so regularly, but eventually the penny dropped. More often than not, my father would also drop as he attempted to cross the yard to the cart, but by the time my mother got him home to the tent, he had usually repented!

Quite a lot of carpet frogs in our house at the moment - something to do with the high level of curry consumption lately
