I have finally got into my house for more than 20 minutes since Thursday night so just got round to seeing all these posts  Glad we fitted all our sets in at the start of the week!! So that is us both diehards again! And 9 minute diehards at that
fiona28 wrote:djd you started this thing, you should be taking all us women with a firm hand and saying what the outcome should be lol
to my mind if someone misunderstands then thats absolutely fine :D

but thats not the problem - elaine is saying she doesnt have time - so its not really that she cant do it is more a case of she wont!!!

That's not what I meant fiona, i genuinely misunderstood at the start and thought you do 1 min norm, 1 min side, 1 min other side total and found this easier to fit in to my already busy regime and wondered if it was ok to keep as it is as the rest of the other exerices take less time then all the planks?! Although when I thought back on it, as well as doing the planks in the house when I do all my other diehard exercises, I also do the plank (and many other exercises!) at combat, strength, thump and when I go to the gym too so I've probably done more than a 9 minute share per day!!! I'm on hols now anyway so I can fit another set in other times of the day, will make me stronger for it I suppose

Good one Joc, was expecting these coming at some point :-)

Working this afternoon :( so need to do this now..
So OK it’s the one legged squat (sometimes known as the pistol) this week.
• Stand on one leg with foot pointing straight ahead and knee slightly bent.
• Keep your weight centered over the ball of the foot.
• Keep your upper body erect with your head facing forward.
• Tuck your pelvis under and roll your shoulder blades back (try not to round your shoulders).
• Keeping the knee centered over the ball of the foot, lower into a squat position.
• Start with shallow squats.
• Once you develop your strength, coordination, and balance, you can see how low you can go.
• Repeat 3 sets of ten squats on each leg.

If you find this impossible you could do a 2 leg squat - again 3 reps of 10. Your balance will improve and you can move onto the one legged sqat.
