EURO 2008 QUALIFYING FIXTURES CONFIRMED Thursday, 09 Mar 2006

Scotland's Group B fixture schedule for Euro 2008 qualification was
resolved today, at a meeting at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland
attended by national coach Walter Smith.

The outcome of the random draw is that Scotland start with a home match
against the Faroe Islands on 2 September followed by an away game in
Lithuania four days later. All of Scotland's home games are on a
Saturday, all the away games on a Wednesday.

Scotland's confirmed fixture dates are:

2006
Saturday, 2 September - Scotland v Faroe Islands
Wednesday, 6 September - Lithuania v Scotland
Saturday, 7 October - Scotland v France
Wednesday, 11 October - Ukraine v Scotland

2007
Saturday, 24 March - Scotland v Georgia
Wednesday, 28 March - Italy v Scotland
Saturday, 2 June - no game
Wednesday, 6 June - Faroe Islands v Scotland
Saturday, 8 September - Scotland v Lithuania
Wednesday, 12 September - France v Scotland
Saturday, 13 October - Scotland v Ukraine
Wednesday, 17 October - Georgia v Scotland
Saturday, 17 November - Scotland v Italy
Wednesday, 21 November - no game

David Taylor, SFA Chief Executive, commented: "We went into this process
with some trepidation but I think we have come out of the draw fairly
well. The games against the major countries are reasonably well spread
out, as we negotiated at the original fixture planning meeting, and it
is a big bonus for the fans that all our home games are on Saturdays."

Andy Mitchell

Scottish F.A.

The new fixtures are superb - all the home games are on a Saturday and I get to see France at home on my b'day! :D

The young whipper snappers should join to ensure tickets for these games - Italy, France and Ukraine will all be superb!

Members get one for themselves and one extra - this can be cut at anytime.

There just isn't enough people in the travel club in the town anymore for everyone to rely on others. All I can say is join or get some rich relation to join and get their tickets!
