Oh, Annie, Annie, Annie, this whole city shut down because of ice! (No snow.) All of the major arteries were closed and some still today. We just aren't prepared and have no equipment or salt to clear the roads.

But a couple of years ago when I lived in Corpus Christi, it snowed 4 inches! First time in 80 years it has snowed down there. I was scheduled to drive to san antonio and get on a plane to scotland on Christmas day. Left the apartment on Christmas eve, and some flakes were coming down. My son and I were very excited.. got to the edge of town, and there was snow on the highway.. by the time we got half way to San antonio, the 2 and 3-lane freeway had turned into one lane, blizzard conditions, could hardly see the car in front of you.. it was very cool. lol Funny thing, we got to San Antonio and it hadn't snowed at all.

What is normally a 2 1/2 hour drive turned into an 8 hour drive! The last good snow we have had in San Antonio was 4 inches a few days just after Christmas 1984/1985.

I miss the snow, just don't want 6 months of it.

It was snowing up here in Carra-Carra-Carradale a little while ago. Anyone else had any yet?

The Moon itself was incredibly bright. In case anyone was watching last night, the bright star beneath and to the left of the Moon as it rose was in fact Saturn.

Don't need to worry about horizons here Gary boy, but you'll need to invest a wee bitty more money on your Panasonic to catch up on a Canon .

By the way, nice photo, tried to copy it tonight returning from Oban, but no tripod.
