Sorry, Frosty and me saw Simple Minds 20 years ago in Ibrox and they were p**h poor then, the Waterboys blew them off the stage, and I haven't heard them improve since.

Funny I was listening to the Waterboys on the way into work this morning. I think it was the Fisherman's Blues c.d. Dunno! Have to ask the Jimbob! LOL

Never really connected with The Waterboys. And if I hear 'Whole Of The Moon' one more time I will throw myself off Beetham tower.

Much more worthy of purchase is Mike Scot's first solo album - 'Bring 'Em All In'. A great collection of songs, with 'Long Way To The Light' and 'Wonderful Disguise' being amongst my pers fav songs by anyone, ever. It's that good an album!

My friend in Glasgow goes regularly to concerts organised in Jordanhill and a band she really rates are the Hazey Janes. Apparently they do a great night. Have heard one of their songs and I liked it.

Would love to see Christy Moore in the Picture House, seen him in Concert Hall in March and was excellent.

Proclaimers would be brilliant for the Saturday in the Vic, know they've been down before but not for the festival.
I thank yow

sorry abbey but les gray is broon breid, thats why the wigwambamz would beso good, they play all your fav glam stuff, bolan, bowie, slade, sweet, mud, roxy music, elo, might even do middle of the road, racey and gary glitter for the care in the community types who have been wanting johhny and the self abusers, or simple minds as they insist on calling them and the likes of "ship called dirge-nity" outfit, i can see this year being my one and onlt outing to the fest if any of the tripe thats been mentioned gets booked, next year will probably be a non horizon year so make the most of the musical freedom and book something decent, in the name of all things musically sacred, book someone decent, theres 5 million in scotland, just because you satisfy 700 doesn't make it a success!!!!!

look at inverary, crowds of 20,000, just to see that bunch of chancers!!!!, if you book them, they will come, forget the vic, think big, book someone that 10,000 will want to come and see, how much money is being spent in inverary over the weekend and its the rip off capital of argyll, which you'll know if you've ever stopped and bought a roll. the festival has outgrown the vic, expand expand expand
