Mr Morenish was just saying over a bowl of tripe this evening that he had heard that the Carradale Hysterical Society was also putting on some kind of slide show or another. Does anyone know where, when and how to gain entry? It seems to me that there may be something secretive about the whole thing!

Budget boost for Heidless Horsemen

Postby LO » Wed Mar 12, 2008 11:29 am

If this news is correct it could spell BIG trouble for Bochan Mor and his cohorts! Auld Heidless has been missing in these parts for a while now but maybe this initiative from the Chancellor will get him back in the saddle and doing what he likes best - BOCHAN BATING!

Horseman

Postby Bochan Mor » Wed Mar 12, 2008 11:31 pm

LO, I'm far from worried about the heidless horesman. For half a stone of salted ling, Morenish persuaded Sanyanya to trick Witchnettle into casting a spell that made the horesman forget his password, so unless the witch reverses it, he will stay well away from here.

I'm lying here like an adder waiting for Humphlock to post her poem about the Torrisdale Toad that crossed the road to see the puddocks dancing....... or was it parking?????

now you mention parking, did i not read about a wee motoring incident in the local press last week? i do hope nobody sprained an ankle putting their foot down driving away from the scene?

it must have been a visitor? nobody from the village would do such a thing, surely?

Now Morenish, don't you be digging too far back into your memory bank and embarassing the grannys in the village over their mini-skirted exploits as teenagers. Besides, if the CSA couldn't extract the names of the fathers out of them and damn all but Campbell, Paterson, Galbraith, McMillan, Oman, Shaw, McIntosh & Buchanan DNA to choose from, where does that leave us... Oh aye, and MacKinnon as well.... When they weren't in amongst the ewes!!

Carradale new speed limits

Postby jdcarra » Fri Mar 14, 2008 1:53 am

Beware the speedsters, the white van man and likes, not mine though  . I see we now have the established new speed restrictions from Carradale west in place as of today.

Long ongoing saga from away back when I was chair of EKCC to present EKCC committee finally getting 30mph speed limit entering the village at the Lodge brae ( just over Dippen bridge) to the Network Centre. From there a 40mph speed limit to the east end of the village 30mph sign at the school.

Would really have been better to apply 30mph through out, but at the end of the day nice to have what we got.

Speed limits

Postby chuckiebay » Fri Mar 14, 2008 5:34 am

Sevs who wid hav thot that thi day wid cum when thir wid be speed limits in Carridl. When ah wis wee an we hud tae walk home from the school there wir nivver eny cars on the rod an oor only hope o' a lift wis if ther wis a funeral tae Brackley an we wid get picked up by oor daddies on thir way home.

Arsid ah nivver walked the ride (that sounds a bit Irish but maybe ah am) but we did saunter home by diffrent ways. If there wir pups at the Kennels that stop took up a loat o'time an then ah hid always to go tae the quay to Lilla's for the papers.

Did ah hear right that they're gonna clean up Carridl? Wull this mean ah'l no be able tae get stuff for ma wee hoose in the wid?

Did you notice how they've forgot to replace the sign by the school? That makes it 40 going towards the school and 60 coming back from it! :)

Presumably they're coming out again to change it.

Noted that Gary, we'll have a look today to see if they remember to change it :? . We cannot have the east enders flying past the west enders  .
