Crazy petrol prices

Is Everyone else noticing how the petrol and diesel prices are gradually sneaking up again over the past few weeks ?

I think there was a 2p rise in duty between tuesday and wednesday, but diesel in town had certainly gone up at least 1p a couple of days before that...

I was beginning to wonder when someone would notice this again . The town pumps were over 5 pence a litre dearer over the last week/weeks than up here in Carradale .
There is not much shouting nationwide about prices now and it is probably going to creep up gradually .

jet garage at Hillington is the cheapest in my area just now at 89.9 / 96.9. It's around a mile from the M8 if you want to fill up. Exit at the Makro turn off, pass makro, the shell garage, and then it's just a wee bit up the road straight in front of you.

If filling up before leaving Glasgow for Kintyre - it would be worth your while.

Fuel duty went up on April 1st, I think the County put their prices up the day before

Petrol at Asda in Boston gradually went down to 82.9 by Christmas, then a couple of months ago itbegan to creep up again, went to 88.9, then last week it had gone to 91.9. I didn`t know at the time about the 2p rise in duty, I think it was swallowed up by all the fuss over the G20 and Obama.

Currently £1.01/litre up here in KLB.

Low is about $1.89 US gallon.. how does that compare?

I`d say it compares very favourably, for you, not us, we`re priced by the litre these days, not the gallon.

County Garage now at 104.9 for diesel.

That works out at £4.76 for Imperial Gallon
and $5.83 for US Gallon

Hi Linda,

The County today has diesel at 102.9 per litre (2p down from yesterday ) and unleaded at 99.9 per litre.
Still, could fluctuate quite a bit in the time you are here!
