I had thought of ducking out of this one. Haven't been out on the road for 16 days now. Been working late, friends home for long weekends etc, Champions League on TV. I am down for a three hour OT shift this coming Tuesday, but you know what, I'm going to be there at that start line. I like the camaraderie. The start time also suits for the fitba'

I should get a good start time for the last wan

Had a run up around the route for Tuesday tonight, and my verdict is "a tough one". l would recommend if you have an off road shoe wear them, its just to give you that extra grip,on the route around by Beinn Ghuilean area.

l have your handicaps down on paper,l just need to put them on a spread sheet and email them to Isla to check them and once she is happy,if you want a copy just email me,or wait to see them on the board on Tuesday.

Thanks

Sounds a good idea to me as long as the venue serves alcohol :)

Great, even if we have rough numbers on Tuesday we can start to organise (I'm very sure alcohol will be served  ) Will be a great way to end the Handicap as it has been so successful and everyone has worked hard.

If anyone isn't on the forum spread the word to all that has been involved in the Handicap so they don't miss out! Just mind your fiver either this Tuesday or October Race.

Hi All

l have finalised the route for Tuesday and taken everthing into account,ie suitable running surface, the light and safety, and the people that live up there.

The route.

The start and finish will be half way up the lane, left of the cottages.

Run up to the mast and the turn point is a gate with a white post just past the mast.

Head back to the cottages, through the gate towards Beinn Ghuilean.

Past through 3 sets of gates the last one being wooden.

After the wooden gate, there are two paths to your left, take the 2nd path which should be ticker taped with yellow and black
markings, continue on over a bridge and the pick up the blue route post and take that direction.

You the will come to a path junction which has a post with a no entry sign on it (also ticker taped on it and slightly further down the track on a tree) follow that route untill you come to another T/juction,take a left (ticker taped) and over the bridge and head back up to the wooden gate.

The rest is retrace your steps to the finish line without going back up to the mast.

Thanks

I

I hope the route is not as complicated as it sounds!
One of my recurring dreams is getting lost in a marathon....hope it does not come true tonight in a 5K!
