Great. I'll be in town next Tuesday at that time.

5531N 00547W (VCY CAMPBELTOWN) 0826 HR
5546N 00535W (TARBERT) 0828 HR

Campbeltown to Tarbert in 2 minutes. That's even faster than a McKerrals lorry!

I think your right Tickety Boo!

Praying for clear weather for you guys on the Kintyre, it will be over very quickly as they are transit flying, and dont forget you can put a request in FOC for the Red Arrows to do a fly past and they will endeavour to fit in your event or occasion.

They weren't exactly 'overhead' at Campbeltown. I caught a brief glimpse of them just to the north of Knockscalbert heading northwest at 9.11 this morning.

Manage to catch them this morning, they were about 2 miles away so not as much of a close up as I'd hoped for.

What a tribute to a fellow pilot and sadly the team have lost another pilot this week past due to an unfortunate accident.

Cheers MAK News for sharing this clip and photos.I have followed the Red Arrows for years with many pics taken of them performing at RAF Leuchar's and other places.

Many thanks for your comments re the Red Arrows piece. This week has, indeed, been another sad one for the team.

This is indeed a lovely piece put together about the Red Arrows visit.

Towards the end of the piece the following statement is made, somewhat hesitantly:

"We understand also that, over and above the MacLachlan family’s holiday connection with Clachan, Neil’s forebears actually farmed at Dunskeig."

This is true, and in fact many relations of Neil and his family still live in Kintyre ... and even post on this forum :)

Outstanding tribute to Flight Lieutenant Neil MacLachlan from his friends and colleagues. And lest we forget, fellow Red arrow pilots Flight Lieutenant Sean Cunningham and Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging who have passed over the bar recently. Again, a great tribute by a bunch of brave blokes. Pity we in the wider world didn't hear so much about it.
