12th September - invitations to tender to be issued.
Feb 2012 – Sod cutting ceremony
Late Feb/ early March – start on site (due to weather critical elements of the build)
June – completion date
June/ July – 6 week test period

The Council confirmed at the CHORD open day last week that the pitch will be secure when not in use. There was a suggestion that the pitch would be left open but this will not be the case. The Council will host a meeting over the winter to take on views of groups and the community as to how the Council can maximise use etc
