I cannot help but agree. As you know I live in Thanet where one of the largest operational offshore wind farms anywhere in the World is being constructed by Vattenfall:

I am in favour of windfarms as I believe they make a significant contribution to the Government’s national and regional renewable energy targets BUT I walk along the coast several times a week and what was a beautiful view is now spoiled. Now, this view in no way can be compared to the view WC1 is describing above and so I would fight tooth and nail for it not to happen. Sorry but no-one travels to Margate to be awed by the view from the beach there. Can I just ask if an environmental impact assessment has been prepared to determine the effects on the local environment?
